crafty friday, outdoor christmas cheer
i dedicate this post to all the moms out there who have tiny hands that are into everything, making the christmas season their greatest temptation. other than the christmas tree, which i refuse to child proof, i've learned to get a little creative with where i display my fun decorations.
example 01: front porch
while i was back home last weekend, sitting by the wood stove, an idea popped in my head. for me, there is nothing more cozy than seeing a neatly stacked pile of firewood by the front door on a cold winter night. so my sweet father loaded up his saw and drove down by the old barn to chop me some. alder i believe. and what's even better, this project cost me less than three bucks to make! gotta love antiquing on black friday and the dollar store.
example 02: back porch
our family enjoys this festive little view from our dining room table.
i always hate decorating for christmas as most things are so cheesy and un-inspiring. you change that for me! this is all so awesome and beautiful. and very smart with using your outdoors! i'd want to stop in for a cup if driving by. i also love the picture where you can see the reflection of your tree from looking out the back sliding door. xo!
