words can be; admirable, helpful, thoughtful, positive, endearing, encouraging, truthful and good-natured. words can also be; hurtful, malicious, damaging, manipulating, destructive, toxic, shallow and cockamamie.

I guess there is great truth in the saying my gramdma mooney would always say to me; "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." words to live by, If not for myself, for the people in my life who taught me better.

On our way to daycare this morning 'miss independent' by kelly clarkson came on the radio and brenner said "mom turn it up, this is my favorite song" (every song lately is brenner's favorite) and then he said "Mom, guess who sings this song?" "britney spirit."

i asked...

and i received the palm t/x handheld from adam for my birthday and it took me all morning just to go through the set-up and tour. lordy, i love new gadgets but this one is a little intimidating. thank goodness i'm marrying a gadget genius who will show me how to use it or this baby would be staying in the box.

with some of my birthday money i purchased a chinese brush painting starter kit and I can't wait to start the projects assigned to see if I inherited any painting talent from my mama. aside from my workouts at the gym, photography and sitting in front of my computer browsing the latest wedding trends or myspacing (i'm a junkie) i really don't have any other real consistent hobbies.

the wedding plans are right on track and I'm feeling very organized and empowered these days a.) the save the date cards are all packaged and ready to go. b.) Adam and i met with our caterer yesterday afternoon and we're really excited about our menu. c.) I showed our cake decorator the samples i've been accumulating over the months and she's going to make a very similar cake design for her sample display for our final approval. Way cool!!!

keep your fingers and toes crossed that our hardwood floors are getting done today. I'm not holding my breath but i am keeping hope.

so yesterday was my 33rd birthday. the morning was filled with birthday cards, gifts and breakfast at work. Fun and yummy. then around 11:30am in walks Adam with a card in hand.

he then informed me that he arranged with my boss to kidnap me for the rest of the day. I was in shock, thrilled and torn all at the same time. a part of me knew I needed to stay to meet some deadlines i set for myself but the other part was like "woohoo, it's my birthday and I'm out of here"...which part did I listen to?
