While applying my second coat of mascara and humming to the weepies in the bathroom this morning in slides brenner to inform me with great excitement that he has a loose tooth. My eyes filled with tears for two reasons: 1. i jabbed the mascara wand in my eye due to his shocking entrance and 2. my baby is no longer a baby. when exactly did i give permission for this to happen? I'm not ready!!! so here is the last look at my baby's baby teeth.
during my second gown fitting last night i found myself staring at the reflection of someone who I had not seen in a long time. tears of joy and sorrow rolled down my cheeks and there wasn't a single thing I could do to stop them. I won't bore with the emotional details but it was a good moment - a content moment.
I'm super excited about the weekend, Mom and dad are finally coming to visit and see our house for the first time! we have the weekend pretty much planned out for them. on saturday we are taking them to see our wedding site to see what fabulous and creative ideas my mama will come up with. She amazes me. then on sunday jen and i are taking our mothers to see 'because i said so', a total mother/daughter movie that we have been planning to see together for months now. The boys will without a doubt hit a few sporting good stores and take Brenner to sun mountain fun center for a complete day of spoiling rotten. Ahhhh, I love my family.
Just when I think i get caught up or near to at work, another project/event falls in my lap. kerplunk! i need a personal assistant asap. i've been having our lovely office assistant, kristie make membership collection calls this week to free up my time to work on a few other projects that has been collecting dust since my return in October. I've also agreed (oh why?) to chair the annual Redmond habitat for humanity's annual spaghetti feed in April, so Don't be surprised if I contact you to help volunteer.
The wedding plans are clicking right along and tomorrow after I get my first dress fitting {squeal} Jen and I plan to shop for the items i've carefully listed in my palm. and if i have any energy leftover i'll meet up with the redmond daycare mommy's for a girls' night out in Bend. woohoo.
Ooooooh, would you look at the time...it's after 5pm. Happy three day weekend for those lucky enough to get Monday off....and yes, I will be one them. sweeeeeeeeeeet.
i spent most of my afternoon and evening yesterday searching for paper and envelopes to order for our wedding invitations. Good grief, my head is still spinning from all the options and designs to pick from. And the cost? So i've never been a huge fan of electronic organizing until i found myself using three desk calendars; one for work, one for personal and one for wedding planning. So for my birthday I requested the new palm tx. i love it! It took me awhile to get the hang of it but now i wouldn't go back for anything.
this week has been filled with ups and downs but mostly ups; our house finally feels like a home, emotional slivers were removed and i can take a deep breath at work without feeling like I need immediate medical attention. Tomorrow, while brenner is sleeping over at a friend's house Adam and I will take advantage of the free tickets I scored to the Valentine's Bash held at newest golf club in town.

This morning we met with Brenner's teacher to go over his learning profile. He is an exceptional student and more than ready for first grade already. i'm bursting with pride and joy knowing he is such a happy, healthy and socially well-adjusted child. I'm truly a blessed mama. Here is a sample from this morning...
if I ever agree to host a party (a large party) the day after working 14 hours at a chamber event and wearing THE most uncomfortable shoes evvvvvver, shoot me. oh my lord am I tired today. we all crawled into work this morning and sat longer than usual to go over our schedules for the week. The annual dinner was a hit with record attendance and fabulous table decorators.

saturday morning started at 7:00am for adam and i. We had until 4:00pm to move furniture and decorate the entire house before 23 women showed up for a pure romance/valentine party that heather and i co-hosted.
