to etsy, or not to etsy

i've been really wicked busy (a.k.a. obsessing) making headbands to match all of silvie's outfits. here are a few of my latest creations. and the model...hecka cute, right!?

consequently the little bird hook i had before is now too small to host them all...so I created a holder from vintage wooden thread spools, painted and decorated with small glass pink beads.

ikea improved

since our last trip in november to stock up for silvie's room, i started making a new list for brenner's which was in desperate need of some serious organization. here's his clean and improved room.

month: five

i just can't believe our baby girl is five months old already. i really had a hard time putting her to bed last night and saying goodbye to thinking, feeling and saying four months - just so not ready.

looking back...

• still loves, loves, loves the wheels on the bus song.


• her love language is food, weighing in at 15.5 lbs, 90th percentile for her age.


• actively sucks her left thumb and fingers with the binky now second best.


• laughs when we laugh.


• touches everything within reach.


• puts herself to sleep by playing with her hands. 


• mimics words.


• coos while listening to music.


• obsessed with any electronic device that lights up, i.e. cell phone and ipad.


• eats rice cereal in the evening.


• plays more independently.


• sits up like a rockstar.
