i hurts
my nose hurts. my head hurts. my throat hurts. i just hurt. i came down with a nasty cold last night and of all the weeks to come down with a cold, this week wasn't the best (is there ever a best?). if i had a dime for every time i rolled over to clear my sinuses, i'd be rich. and poor adam, he endured the entire night without one complaint. i have the best husband ever!
the events that took place last week were beyond belief. the day after we returned from visiting my brother and tomi, we received a call from my brother informing us that tomi's doctor found a tumor on her ovary and ran tests to determine if it was cancer. that same day tomi drove herself to the hospital with a migraine that left her lips and fingertips numb. the doctor insisted on a cat scan where it revealed a tumor in her brain the size of a baseball. they operated the next day to remove the tumor that turned out to be the size of a softball! the operation was a true success - an answer to so many prayers. the results came back benign for the tumor on her ovary and we're still waiting for the results on the brain tumor, but the surgeons are confidant that it is also benign. thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
this week is jam packed with papa george in town, fair week and our trip to Seattle this weekend. i must get better and fast. i'm off to hunt down another bag of halls cough drops and a second box of kleenex...the kind with lotion would be nice.
