week: nineteen

pop goes my belly! from barely a bump to, wow, i'm really pregnant and showing now. i can't stop purchasing anything pink this week, but can you really blame me? girls are amazingly fun to shop for. silvie's room is shaping up nicely with just a few more special items to add and hang.

i notice silvie's movements the most while driving or working at my desk or sitting on the couch in the evenings with adam. i love and anticipate every little flutter and kick i feel. i know they will get stronger and more painful in a few months but for now...i'm savoring.

food cravings:

• homemade peanut butter cookies (ahem!!!)

week: seventeen

baby develops baby fat and grows fingernails this week. cute huh!

i want to walk...i need to walk...but the weather outside has been downright dreadful. snow in april? not cool. i noticed for the first time my hair isn't falling out and taking over my bathroom sink and floor like it normally does, so that's groovy. we agreed on names. not tellin' until we have our gender ultrasound on tax day. holy gosh, already?!

food cravings:

• baked cheetos (naughty-naughty!)

• onion or baked potato or large orange - whatever you fancy

nine years ago today, after many many hours of labor, you were born and changed my world forever. thank you for making this past year unforgettable and memorable. here's to you, my snuggler, lover of chocolate milk, and sweeter than honey, son.

week: sixteen

asked myself, "was that the baby or gas?" a lot this week. anxious to feel this baby kick and move around for sure. my skin itches like all the time and, oh, dry eyes and nasal congestion much? yes!! and oh, oh, according to adam I'm only "uncomfortable" and not "miserable" and oh, oh, oh, he would know this...

how?!!!

good thing hearing the baby's heartbeat and movement (he/she was quite the little showoff moving around for the doc) at my appointment last week made for this "uncomfortable" state all disappear for one brief sweet moment.
