barclay

my mama's new puppy.

MOM: I am going to start Mosaicing.
ME: That sounds fun and creative.
MOM: Hey maybe you would like to do some of that craft yourself. There is no talent needed, not that you don't have talent, because you do, you just don't think you do. Got all that?
ME: Need some boots to go with that shovel?

and this isn't everything. can you just hear my heart cringe? i can't believe my baby is going to school full time this year...all day...seven hours! so the fun begins...costco trips for lunches...gym shoes...cool school clothes. i must admit, i really could use another year to emotional prepare for this. i'm not perfectly ready. is there ever such a thing?
while packing for our speedy camping trip this weekend, i remembered hearing that if you place bounce fabric softeners around your camp site and on youself, it will keep the bugs away. and guess what? it totally works! not one yellow jacket or mosquito bite. sweet.
bright and early saturday morning we rushed around the house packing and loading up the truck for our one night stay at lava camp lake. the lake was perfect, the marshmellows were yummy and the campfire time with my husband, awesome!
is there a cure for the 'but firsts'? because i’ve had them since the birth of my child and it’s beginning to drive me crazy – literally crazy. it has come down to making short term to-do lists, and by short term i mean every three hours. maybe i have an illness or something. focus – what’s that?
so i must tell you that my new blog name, daily mel, is misleading. i’m not a daily blogger and probably will never be. i have all good intentions to make cool changes to my website, add new pages with cool links and categories to my entries, but the reality is unlikely.
so the latest and greatest happenings…hmm, well i’m going back to the gym. yep, you could say that i’m counting calories for a baby. i want to lose at least 15 pounds before another baby gets in this belly. 15 pounds and getting my digestive system on track, doctor’s orders. i’m trying to cut out most dairy, which means no more daily iced mochas. grump. grump. grump. to substitute i’m giving chai yerba mate’ with nectar a try. it’s not the same but i do feel more alert and chatty.
here is my tea pot…

here is my yerba mate'...

and don't forget the agave nectar...

don't be jealous.
i've changed my url address, yet, again. it will be www.dailymel.squarespace.com as of today. thank you and have a nice day.
