lake day at lake billy

while i continue to edit our hawaii pictures and prepare for silvie's big day this coming sunday, i took a greatly-needed day off today and headed to lake billy chinook (cove palisades) with the fam for a day of fishing, swimming and most of all, relaxation! i even scored a pretty sweet mini nap.

and a summer day in central oregon isn't complete without a stop at goody's for ice-cream.

crafty friday, koi cupcakes

a few weeks ago brenner participated in a week-long kayak camp. all the kids were given nicknames and brenner's was mr. fisherman. fitting right? so on his last day i whipped up a batch of these fun sweets - not exactly brenner's choice of fish to catch, but they were a hit and so easy to make.

month : eleven

my heart is like whoa! i'm just going to skip the emotional part of this post and go straight to silvie's latest triumphs and a video of our crazy-amazing walker.

• bottom two teeth finally broke through.


• standing and taking two-three steps at a time.


• brother is "brah-brah"


• reading books - loves in a big way.


• prefers to say mama over dada now. oh snap!


• she exerts herself in professional wrestling. 


• literally has zero patience for waiting for food.


• graduated from her infant car seat to a big girl car seat & still rear-facing.


• first bike ride with daddy.


• discovered climbing (sweet mercy, help us!)


• met her newly discovered cousins from california.


• visited the big pool for the first time and adores swimming.


• loves to take charge. see video.
