{6.27.10}

week: twenty-eight

whoa, nelly! what a week.

after taking the one-hour and three-hour glucose tolerance tests i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. it's been reassuring to learn through research that it's hormone related and will most likely go away once silvie arrives. treatment: an appointment with a nutritionist to custom fit a diet for my needs and testing my blood four times a day. thankfully in my case, no insulin is required.

we only get a few chances to create a new life and i will try with all my might not to let this bump in the road rob me of this amazing experience.

3

married three years and three things i love about being mrs. adam ridlon:

  1. our unconditional love for one another that grows stronger and stronger every year.

  2. the way adam will eat anything i put on the table, without complaint or unsolicited suggestions.

  3. the complete randomness adam brings into our lives on a daily basis.

to celebrate our anniversary we decided to spend three wonderful days in astoria, seaside and cannon beach. love. love. love.

{6.20.10}

week: twenty-seven

we've reached trimester...three!!! and things i'm no longer able to do without making god-awful grunts and groans:

  • tie my shoes

  • shave my legs

  • get into the commander (adam's solution: park by a curb for stepping assistance)

  • roll over in bed

  • self-pedis

joy.

{6.13.10}

week: twenty-six

13 more weeks. 13 more weeks. 13 more weeks. 13 more weeks. 13 more weeks.

...and at 26 weeks i'm still rockin' the flat innie belly button!

note: birthmark photographed for the first time, ever! and as adam and brenner like to comment often: "silvie pooped", which strangely i find endearing and sweet.

{6.6.10}

week: twenty-five

silvie's hands are fully developed and can even make a fist -- watch out boys! um, and i'm swollen, all over! my feets and fingers cry out to me at night despite the amount of water i drink or exercise i do during the day. my saving grace is that i'm now able to take mini breaks throughout the day to rest and elevate my legs. retirement rocks!

this week i worked on making silvie and sedae a few headbands. so easy...fun...and addicting.
