committees, ultrasounds and smells

i AGREED TO CHAIR THE committee for the ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER FOR the REDMOND HABITAT FOR Humanity AGAIN THIS YEAR, THIS TIME WITH MORE NOTICE (NOT AS MUCH AS i WOULD LIKE) TO PREPARE AND PLAN. tHIS YEAR THE COMMITTEE IS STEPPING THINGS UP A BIT AND ADDING A THEME, LIVE/SILENT AUCTION, LIVE ENTERTAINMENT AND A CATERED DINNER AT EAGLE CREST. THIS year WITHOUT A DOUBT will BE A HUGE LEARNING PROCESS FOR OUR ORGANIZATION. wE'VE ALREADY RECEIVED TWO PRESENTING SPONSORS, ONE ENTERTAINMENT & DESSERT SPONSOR TOTALLY OVER $7,000. GOD IS GOOD.

I CAN'T TELL HOW EXCITED I AM for our ultrasound appointment on monday. I NEED CONFIRMATION THAT EVERYTHING IS OK. I FEEL GREAT - OTHER THAN WANTING TO CRAWL UNDER MY DESK AT RANDOM TIMES OF THE DAY TO sleep, and LAUGHING AND CRYING AT THE SAME TIME, which is very DIFFERENT WITH THIS PREGNANCY. FOR INSTANCE, JUST THE OTHER DAY I FOUND MYSELF SoBBING - NOT just TEARY-EYED - BUT SoBBING DURING HOME ALONE!!! poor adam just looks at me, wants to fix me, but only makes it worse trying and wonders when he will get his wife back. I'd like to know as well.

oh and the local unicel store reeks of old man smell mixed with gym locker funk. seriously, do they not smell what i smell?!?

  3. I remember those smells. I remember trying to go to lunch with John one day when he was at the Spokesman. I was inside Rigoberto's for all of 3 seconds before rushing back out, leaving him apologizing to the poor staff there. I could hardly stand to be anywhere where food was cooking. I could eat just about anything as long as I didn't have to smell it cooking!
